The USA Swimming Safe Sport Club Recognition program allows a USA Swimming member club to demonstrate its commitment to creating a healthy and positive environment free from abuse for all its members through the development and implementation of club governance measures, Safe Sport policies and reporting mechanisms, Safe Sport best practices and training to athletes and parents.

USA Swimming has policies for interaction with minor athletes (MAAPP). All members are expected to be aware of the policies. All 18 yr. old athletes must take the Athlete Protection Training on the USA Swimming website within 30 days prior to their 18th birthday. Failure to comply with taking the training within those 30 days will result in an athlete’s USA membership being suspended and not able to compete in USA competitions, both local and national.
