New Swimmers
NEW SWIMMERS: Anyone that is not currently in our WSY competitive or pre competitive programs must attend one of our New Swimmer Evaluation Clinics to be placed in the proper practice level. Please email mike@wsyswim.org if you have questions.
Swimmers that were part of our WSY 2024-2025 program, WSY Pre Competitive programs, WSY Stroke Clinics or Summer League Ducks programs do NOT have to attend the evaluation clinics unless you are asked to attend by coach’s. All current swimmers will be assigned a practice group by the end of July, 2025
Returning Swimmers
In order for us to be sure we have all returning swimmers assigned the proper practice group and to know how many open slots we have in each practice group, we need to know your intentions for the Fall and Winter 2025-2026. This form will close on Sunday, July 20th. If you do not fill out this form by Sunday, July 20, you are not guaranteed a spot in the 2025-2026 WSY Competitive Swimming program. Swimmers that were part of our 2024-2025 programs will receive an email as to their practice level assignment by the end of July
Step 1 (Check your email and look for your assigned practice level from coaches near th end of July, 2025. Registration opens Friday, August 1, 2025 for swimmers that have been assigned a practice group
Step 2: Be sure your YMCA Account is set up
Step 3: Pay the 2025-26 WSY Competitive Swimming Family Registration Fee [Pay here]
Step 4: Pay the $50 Escrow Fee (swim meets) Deposit [Pay Here]
Step 5: Be sure your YMCA Membership is updated (questions on membership should be directed to Membership Office at 717 737-9622). YMCA Membership is mandatory for all “Competitive Team” swimmers
Step 6: Is your SportsEngine Motion account correct and all data correct. Be sure to download the OnDeck app on your mobile phone to
check best times, and access your team information on the go. Here is detailed information for the OnDeck app. New swimmers will have a SportsEngine Motion account sent up after we process your registration
Step 7: If you are paying in full, process your payment here. There are options for siblings as well. Fees are here
Step 8: If you are paying monthly, choose the “Monthly Draft” or “Monthly Draft w/sibling discount”. Fees are here
Step 9: General practice schedule is on the website as follows:
Purple Group and Blue Group will begin Monday, August 18th at the YMCA | Orange Group and Red group will begin Tuesday, September 2nd and Green Group and Yellow Group will begin the week of September 15th
All swimmers will receive confirmation after their registration is complete. USA Swimming Athlete Registration: All swimmers in Yellow, Orange, Red, Purple and Blue practice groups must have an active 2026 USA Swimming Athlete Registration.
All participants of the West Shore YMCA Swim Team must be full-facility members of the YMCA. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify. Applications for assistance can be downloaded from the website or picked up at the Welcome Center desk.
